Hope Iwacu Initiative recently conducted a comprehensive training workshop on safeguarding policies and mechanisms in Nyagatare District. This initiative aimed to strengthen the protection of vulnerable groups including children, women, and persons with disabilities, while promoting a culture of accountability, inclusion, and safety within the community.

The workshop convened a diverse group of participants, including teachers, students, local village chiefs, and representatives from community-based organizations. It provided a collaborative platform to discuss key safeguarding issues, enhance local practices, and share knowledge on effective protection strategies.

Key areas of focus included capacity building, awareness-raising on safeguarding principles, and the implementation of practical prevention and response mechanisms. Through this training, Hope Iwacu Initiative reaffirmed its commitment to fostering safe, inclusive environments where every individual can thrive free from harm, neglect, or discrimination.
